Keynote Address: No Place Like Hope – A life of violence and scarcity was all Stanley knew. At five years old he witnessed his father violate his mother continuously; punching, stabbing, and shooting at her. No Place Like Hope is an engaging 1 to 2-hour keynote presentation for administrators/teachers/students in which Stanley recounts the brutality of growing up in a life of poverty, surviving the pressures of homelessness, multiple forms of abuse, drug addiction, institutionalization, and a felony conviction. Leading his audience on a journey through nightmarish events, Stanley celebrates the power of a teacher to change the trajectory of his life. Reminding teachers that they do matter, they do make a difference, Stanley’s story will encourage, inspire, and transform the way teachers see themselves in the lives of the students they serve.
Earning his undergrad degree from St. Xavier University, graduating Magna Cum Laude, he went on to attain his MEd and is currently into the dissertation process of his PhD in Psychology and Behavioral Analysis. In 2005 Stanley served as the national spokesperson for the United States Navy “Accelerate Your Life” Campaign and in 2007 he was featured on the pre-game show of the Super Bowl.
