This Side of Hope™ provides a holistic, research-integrated approach to school development and organizational efficiency, effecting positive cultural change for all students, staff, families, community partners and stakeholders. Professional development trainings are evidence-based and research-proven, combined with real-life perspectives on the impacts of trauma. As a result, the districts that work with This Side of Hope™ benefit from the latest findings in brain-based learning, enhancing a district’s ability to create school unity, leadership effectiveness, performance efficiency, community engagement, and increase student performance. High quality professional development for staff and students is essential to systemic implementation of effective processes. Sustaining any change initiative must be team-based, school-wide, and reflect a continual process of improvement and a global readiness for transformation. In any organization, unity is the foundation of excellence, and communication across all areas is essential. This Side of Hope™ can help you get there through equipping participants with tools to assess needs, build relationships, develop high performing teams, and improve connectedness, which dramatically promotes social and academic safety and improves performance. With an understanding of how the brain is impacted by trauma and stress, along with insights into basic neuroscience, educational staff, the community, and students will be better equipped to face the challenges of modern education. By using this knowledge to increase school connectivity and attachment, school districts will experience a climate of trust and improved relational capacity with all stakeholders. Along with decreasing students’ negative behaviors, students will also demonstrate improved self-management and increased academic achievement. Likewise, educators will benefit through the concentration This Side of Hope™ places on administrator and teacher self-care. Without a focus on wellness for educators, whole-school support and a healthy school culture and climate will continue to be a challenge. This Side of Hope™ offers professional development that leads to comprehensive school improvement through a safe and supportive environment that boosts staff morale, maximizes student achievement and creates a culture of hope. |
